International Women’s Month: Inspire Inclusion

March is women’s month. Since 1911, every March 8th, International Women’s Day (IWD) has been celebrated, to forge equality, empowerment, and inclusion and the progress made, although it’s a century-wide celebration.

IWD stems from a movement spearheaded by the Socialist Party of America where groups of women in New York marched on the streets to demand better working conditions, the right to vote, and other discriminatory acts they have experienced.

This year, the IWD theme will focus on “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress,” while the campaign is “Inspire Inclusion,” where the theme’s goal is for women in any industry, place, and culture to have equal opportunities.

For everyone to have equal opportunities, we must all start somewhere. We at Buskowitz Energy would like to applaud all women out there, and especially the 20% of women that make up our company—from our interns, admins, engineers, team managers, and the executive team.
